While making timber stairs it is important to first decide how many stairs are required to be constructed. After deciding the number of steps required the size of the treads and risers should be determined. This can be done by first determining the actual height of the stairs and the comfort and convenience of the user should be considered while deciding the height of the stairs. Before making the stairs the space required for the side railings should also be taken into consideration as the size of the steps would depend on the side railings.
The wooden planks for making the timber stairs should be first cut according to the determined size of the steps. After cutting out the steps, holes should be drilled in them to attach them to the concrete and also to attach the side railings. Finally, the wooden planks should be directly nailed into the concrete base in such a way that it has a strong hold and does not move while using.
