Construction management jobs include taking up variety of roles and responsibilities. Construction project managers are often responsible for all aspects of the assigned; construction project .Their roles include managing contractors, equipments and the budget. They also have few general duties that correspond to their work profile. These managers actively participate in land acquisition, process planning, employee hiring, and keeps a track on the progress of the project in order to ensure that the project is completed on time in a correct way.
They are accountable for handling all the problems that come along. Supervising and recruiting workers are also among one of their important functions. The construction staff is interviewed, recruited, disciplined and even fired by these managers. Problems related to construction workers are brought to the manager’s attention who then deals with it accordingly. Many managers are assigned the duty of presenting a budget for the projects. Construction project manager is expected to poses an excellent problem solving skill.
